Robert C. Schweitzer is President of Shay Investment Services, Inc. and serves as Chairman of its subsidiary, First Financial Bank and Trust. Prior to joining Shay, he was the Florida Regional President of Northwest Savings Bank following the sale of Equinox Bank, where he was President and Chief Executive Officer, to Northwest Savings. Most recent other positions include Regional President of Union Planters Bank for the Broward and Palm Beach counties Florida markets, and Executive Vice President and Head of Commercial Banking for Barnett Bank/NationsBank/Bank of America in Jacksonville, FL.

Other positions held include Director and Head of Real Estate Consulting for Coopers & Lybrand in Washington, D.C., Senior Vice President/Manager of Central North America Commercial Real Estate as well as Manager of Domestic Credit Review for the 1st National Bank of Chicago, and Senior Vice President/Manager of Central North America Banking for Wachovia Bank. In addition to the above, Mr. Schweitzer is currently Chairman of the Board of PetMeds (PETS:NASDAQ).

He served in the United States Navy and Navy Reserve for 30 years in the nuclear submarine force and retired with the rank of Captain. He holds a Masters degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and a Bachelor of Science Degree from the United States Naval Academy. In his financial services career, in addition to managing major line organizations, Mr. Schweitzer has successfully managed several acquisition and turnaround situations.
